David Weprin Address Transport Workers Union on Martin Luther King Day

David Weprin discusses the meaning of Martin Luther King to Political Action and to the Labor Movement at a Martin Luther King Day ceremony hosted by Transport Workers Union Local 100 at their HQ, Monday evening, January 18, 2010. New TWU President John Samuelson spoke after Weprin. Also pictured are TWU Director of Organizing Charles Jenkins, Correction Officers Benevolent Association President Norman Seabrook who also spoke and Amalgated Transit Union Local 1056 President Daneek Miller. Local 1056 endorsed Weprin. 1056 and Local 100 joined Weprin on January 17 to oppose MTA service cuts. Weprin is working with community leaders, transit advocates, labor and electeds officials to avert the service cuts.
